[FRA:] situation of Modern art in Adorno’s Aesthetic Theory

This is an intruiguing article, though it's difficult for me to draw 
conclusions, esp. since the author seems to be in favor of what he calls 
the neo-avant-garde:

I must say I have trouble understanding Adorno's Aesthetic Theory and 
even more so in applying it beyond the cultural universe that Adorno 
himself lived in. I suspect almost all of us have been simplistic in our 
understanding of it, but I need to know more.
