Schmidt would argue that your conclusion is patently false, that Horkheimer
and Adorno intended no such thing. In fact, it's obvious that this is only
_your_ position, nihilism is your comfort as it is so many disillusioned
leftists. And it's why you have nothing to say after doing all that work on
your dissertation. It's quite a luxury. It's also a regression to Hinduism,
the most monstrous belief system conceived by the mind of man. When the
Nazis appropriated the swastika, they couldn't have made a better choice.
