Matt, Most recently, Bush announced that he would veto any legislation that
attempted to counter the appointment? of the United Arab Emirates to run a NYC
port. Now, I am not fully informed of all of the facts on this matter, but
it seems obvious that something is very wrong here. I can only imagine that
this has been leaked to the press to create a stir. The neo-cons are
concerned with only one thing and that is this war with the terrorists and they are
only interested in warring with these terrorists - diplomacy is not
relevant. In order to do this they are manipulating the masses just as the
fundamentalist islamists are manipulating the masses by sacrificing their own as
suicide bombers. (I recommend rereading the 1st excursus in Dialectic of
Enlightment on the practice and effect of human sacrifice.) Everything about this war
and this state of affairs, e.g. terrorism, involves manipulating public
opinion just like an election! FrdW
