Matt, Most recently, Bush announced that he would veto any legislation that  
attempted to counter the appointment? of the United Arab Emirates to run a NYC 
 port.  Now, I am not fully informed of all of the facts on this matter, but  
it seems obvious that something is very wrong here.  I can only imagine  that 
this has been leaked to the press to create a stir.  The neo-cons are  
concerned with only one thing and that is this war with the terrorists and they  are 
only interested in warring with these terrorists - diplomacy is not  
relevant.  In order to do this they are manipulating the masses just as the  
fundamentalist islamists are manipulating the masses by sacrificing their own as  
suicide bombers. (I recommend rereading the 1st excursus in Dialectic of  
Enlightment on the practice and effect of human sacrifice.)  Everything  about this war 
and this state of affairs, e.g. terrorism, involves manipulating  public 
opinion just like an election!  FrdW
