Could the reason for the statement have anything to do with this:
perhaps Reich had certain reasons not to collapse (or reduce) the
individual into the social, or vice versa? Ie. perhaps he saw real
contradictions between the social and the individual. Surely Adorno
wanted to maintain the difference and contradiction between them.
Versus Fromm, Mr. Anti-Dialectics.
