In a dialectical sense you are probably right. Statements about Americans 
are always anti-American. Statements about cats always anti-feline. 
Statements about statements always anti etc. You have re-invented the 
dialectic.

Your comments on consumerism made me reconsider. Thanks. There is a 
puritanical strain of critical thinking which (for an enculturated catholic 
like myself)have to work hard to transcend.

As for the central integrating Jewish "myth" of oppression and superiority I 
feel sad for all those generations of people who have had to suffer such 
errant nonsense. So my comments are anti-semitic but with the best of 
therapeutic intentions Ralph.

BTW, I'd stay at home over the next couple of days if I was you Ralph. The 
big bad wolf is on the prowl.
