Sean,

Agreed. Moreover there is the option of addressing non-Frankfurt School issues offlist. I have been guilty of succumbing to the soap operatics of publicising what should private communications. It's one of the submerged ego-psychologistic reasons we (mainly boys BTW) subsribe to Lists such as this. We get a little ego thrill at seeing our contributions up in lights. It's like posturing in front of an electronic mirror acting out our teenage fantasies of leading the revolution and being immortalised in second grade steel statues. Sounds like none of us are too far Saddam Stalin's pathology :-).

So to try and keep to List protocol

Could anyone direct me to an english translation of Adorno's essay on Durkheim, please? I would VERY much like to initiate a discussion regarding the place of Durkheim's sociology in the intellectual genealogy of the Frankfurt School.

Thank you,
