I do most of my book meta-searching via <http://www.bookfinder.com>. It's
an excellent tool.

I've also found alibris useful for much rare material. Most frequently I
find half.com the source of rare book needs real cheap. (bookfinder covers
these along with other services.) After years of searching for Adorno's
AGAINST EPISTEMOLOGY, and only finding once or twice at high prices at
best, I obtained a copy through half.com for about US $5!
