Postmodernism: Materialist? [re-posting]

PArdon for my re-posting of a post I sent last night, but I tried to eliminate garbage chactaers that messed up my post (on my computer I see exclamation points interrrupting lines of text).  However, the same junk is showing up again in my re-posted message.  I can't figure out what's going on.  My own computer is down so I'm using Netscape web-based e-mail.  How do I produce a clean ASCII text?
