RE: Adorno vs analytic philosophy issue.

I haven't looked at it for a few years but what about the postivist debat=
e
with Popper in the 60's. As I recall it was more a joint appearance than =
a
debate, but there might be some critique there. Also what about Adorno's
writings critical of some forms of empirical research in the late 40 and
early 50's. Using these maybe someone could reconstruct a critical approa=
ch
to some forms of  the 'analytical' approaches of his times. Obviously
though analytic philosophy today is a different dish than it was when
Adorno formulated his philosophical ideas.

There was apparently some brief contact between Horheimer and marxist
positivism in the 30's. A  brief exchange of letters and the like. An
renegade interpretation of this was published by I believe Michael Kortha=
ls
in Germans quite a few years ago but it clearly isn't following the
Frankfurt line since K claims that Horkehimer has some sympathy with the
positivists. If anyone is interested in that I could look it up.
