You pseudo-Frankfurters should try reading a few recent articles about
Adorno and jazz rather than engaging in a pissing contest. See, for
example, "Adorno on Jazz and Society," Philosophy and Social Criticism
(1966)..., or Peter Hohendahl's piece in Thesis Eleven, among others.

The level of bombast and acriticality that punctuates this list is indeed
rather shocking. It is unfortunate to see that, even in cyberspace, the
crucial discussions of Critical Theory are reduced to such a
rhetorical level of dedifferentiation. The competing supplicants of the
academy seem to have found a safe haven in email. What a disappointment.
