fortran95 or c for a new stellar evolution program?

Dear Bill,
   As someone between "older" and "younger", I like the flexibility of 
fortran 95 very much.
I would recommend to my students to use fortran 95. I learnt C 10 years ago 
and I tried
to write a code with mixed C and fortan 77, and it turned out to be a 
headache for me and
I just used fortran 77 from that time on. I am now switching to fortran 95.
