[foxtrot] Running on Marvin

Two problems with using the super speedy marvin to run our stuff
1)
You cannot run the GUIs when on pwf.  The error is:
[foxtrot@marvin foxtrot]$ java -cp foxtrot.jar
-Djava.rmi.security.policy=~/security.policy
-Djava.rmi.server.codebase=http://hammer.thor.cam.ac.uk/group/CST1b/foxtrot/pub_classes/

X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication at Mon Feb 26

X connection to marvin.chu.cam.ac.uk:10.0 broken (explicit kill or server
shutdown).


This is probably a linux/x graphics related prob.

2) If marvin runs a server you cannot log in a client from thor.  It
starts making the connection but won't actually (after 20mins of
waiting) make the connection and start getting workunits.

The reversal of this did work once, but usually gives something along the
lines of:
Error in communication with server: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection
refused to host: 131.111.8.39; nested exception is: 
        java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused


Does anyone have any ideas regarding this?

Well done to everyone today as we've got lots of bugs ironed
out.  Hopefully not too many to go now!!
