Hey guys,
The current revisions of the src tree have been tagged as
rel-2-0-batch1compiles
This means that you can obtain this version of the src tree by issuing
cvs checkout -r rel-2-0-batch1compiles src
The reason I use rel-2-0 is because CVS starts of the revisions from 1-1.
It is solely for admin purposes.
One option is to make this a separate branch so that :
- al and mike work on new stuff in the old branch
- matt and shahrum test the code in the rel-2-0 branch
- al and mike correct bugs by applying changes to the rel-2-0 branch
- when the 2nd batch of code is compileable, we can merge the two branches
into rel-3-0
The advantage of this is that the "stable" release (read as : the one
being tested) is kept separately from the "unstable" release (the one that
*maybe* compiles).
The drawback of course is that it makes things a bit more complicated and
everyone needs to know how to work with branches.
We will discuss this tomorrow.
