Thanks. Having experimented over the weekend, I found lots of other people
couldn't access the Prof Couloris notes either, HOWEVER further
investigation proved it is a subtle bug in Acrobat Reader when used with
MS Internet Explorer as a plugin (which is how most people use it).

In that situation, only the page numbers/headers of the PDF get loaded -
and for some reason it only happens with this particular PDF file (perhaps
some others) but the vast majority of PDF files have no problems at all.

Strange.
